Fans are now casting their theories on the much-awaited One Piece Chapter 1000. As its title is now out, there are assumptions it has something to do with Shanks' return, and a reunion with Luffy is about to happen.

According to BlockToro, One Piece Chapter 1000 will bear the title "Straw Hat Luffy," which may mean its primary focus will be the Straw Hat Pirates captain. However, as Chapter 999 is called "The Sake I Brew Waiting For You," many believe it is connected to the new chapter's title.

If these two will be combined, it will be read as "The Sake I Brew Waiting For You, Straw Hat Luffy. By the looks of it, someone is about to meet Luffy.

The franchise's creator, Eiichiro Oda, has been known for combining two consecutive chapters' titles to hint at what may happen. This time, it looks like someone is about to come, and a reunion may occur.

It is also good to note that Oda himself revealed the Red-haired man, or a.k.a. Shanks, would be on his way soon. As it appears, One Piece Chapter 1000 is the best time to feature his arrival.

Shanks may come to Wano to meet Luffy and help him face Kaido and Big Mom. If this happens, this will surely be a big, intense battle.

Another theory that may be explored in the next issue is the mysterious Will of D. Comicbook noted this strange thing was mentioned in Chapter 999.

Yamato told Momo that fate brought Luffy to Wano in the wake of Ace's arrival. She also said it had something to do with his middle initial, which is "D."

This seems to once again bring to life the talks about Will of D, which may finally be revealed in One Piece Chapter 1000. Oda even promised he would explore the "importance and meaning" of it this year.

As the manga has reached this massive milestone, it is the perfect moment for big revelations. So, what does Will of D mean?

Fan-page newworldartur believed Will of D stands for Will of Dawn from the manga's pilot, "Romance Dawn." The pirates with the Will of D want to bring "revolutionary change" to their world.

Gol, Drago, and Ace have been dreaming of bringing the "new dawn" on Earth. As this myth still rings true until today, it may finally be tackled in the next installment.

One Piece Chapter 1000 may have a lot to feature when it releases on Sunday, January 3, 2021, per HITC. After it drops at about midnight Japan Standard Time, the international audience will start to see it at 9 a.m. Pacific Time, 11 a.m. Central Time, noon Eastern Time, and 5 p.m. British Time.
