Red Velvet's producer is teasing a five-member performance of "Psycho" soon.

According to a report by All Kpop, Drew Scott, Grammy-nominated producer and songwriter tweeted his excitement over the upcoming performance of Red Velvet. He included the hashtags #OT5 and #Psycho to get fans even more hyped up.

It can be recalled that Red Velvet's last performance as a complete group was back in August for a cover of BoA's "Milky Way" to celebrate the artist's 20th debut anniversary.

Since December of last year, Wendy was unable to promote with Red Velvet after she sustained severe injuries from falling off the stage during rehearsals of last year's Gayo Daejeon.

The injuries forced Wendy to halt promotions and spend months in the hospital for treatment and rehabilitation. As a result, Red Velvet was unable to make a full group comeback this year. Instead, SM Entertainment focused on the release of Seulgi and Irene's subunit.

However, SM Entertainment CEO Lee Sung Soo recently confirmed that Red Velvet was slated to make a comeback.

This came amid recent negative publicity surrounding the group's leader Irene. It can be recalled that in October, Irene was exposed by a photoshoot editor for behaving rudely towards the staff. Irene owned up to her mistake and apologized, but many netizens demanded that she leave Red Velvet after more people came out to accuse her of bullying.

In response, SM Entertainment stood by their artist and said that both the label and Irene apologized sincerely and reached out to those affected by the issue.

Drew Scott's tweet seemed to be the fulfillment of the label's promise of an upcoming comeback.

After his tweet blew up, Scott interacted with the fans and confirmed that he was the producer of "Psycho," Red Velvet's hit song from last year's The ReVe Finale.

This lifted fans' hope that Wendy has recovered enough from her pelvic injury to perform again with her Red Velvet co-members.

Apart from Lee Sung Soo's statement of a comeback, fans have spotted several clues of Red Velvet's imminent return from social media posts of the members and even the promotion of other SM artists.

It can be recalled that Taeyeon's recent teaser image featured two hints contained in two frames. The one showing the nighttime view of an amusement park was confirmed to be for Baekhyun's comeback, while the daisies in the other photo are expected to be related to Red Velvet.

"Psycho" was recently listed at the top of Paper Magazine's 40 best Kpop Songs, Kpopstarz reported.
