NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 episode 7 is going to be the first episode of the police procedural airing in 2021, with the title "Overdue." Despite the wait, CBS has been sharing updates and details on what lies ahead in the series. There'll be a lot of intense and personal stories coming.

In the latest sneak peek of NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 episode 7, Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah), Nell Jones (Renee Felice Smith), and Eric Beale (Barrett Foa) can be seen talking about an important matter. They are, particularly, going through some bank records that were seemingly tied to a case.

Eric, who's still sporting his mustache, will be involved in some ways. Foa's character returned in the previous episode, and it's clear that he's different from who he was once. His story and the things that he's been through will likely be addressed at some point.

Even though he's successful now, Eric misses his colleagues and being part of the team. He's going to help Kensi, Nell, and others in solving certain cases. The character still has a role to play moving forward, though it remains to be seen how long he'll be staying this season.

Meanwhile, the biggest storyline in NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 episode 7 revolves around G. Callen (Chris O'Donnell). He's going to make a huge step towards his future, especially when it comes to his romantic life.

Callen is seemingly ready to take his relationship with Anna Kolcheck (Bar Paly) to the next level. He'll be meeting her father, Arkady (Vyto Ruginis), as he wanted to discuss some personal matters with him. It looks like Callen is planning to propose to Anna and wants to ask for Akady's blessing.

As for what else is coming in NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 episode 7, Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) will have his own storyline. He was previously dismissed from his job but was given a chance to be part of the team -- provided by proper training. He needs to undergo some challenges to prove he's fit for the position.

The FLETC will also interview some team members to find out whether Deeks is going to be a good agent moving forward. They want him to be an official part of the department, so they're going to convince the academy that Deeks' character will be a good addition.

NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 episode 7 is scheduled to air on Sunday, January 3, 2021, on CBS.
