Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a substantial donation to a New Zealand enterprise on behalf of their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The couple donated 100 fashionable beanies to the children of New Zealand and it's the same cute winter hat Archie likes to wear.

According to People, Make Give Live, the enterprise that makes the beanies, was trying to find a way to reach out to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to wish them a Merry Christmas. It was Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern who facilitated the contact just before the holidays, where Harry and Meghan also proceeded to buy 100 pieces of their popular hats.

The beanies have been distributed to children in need this winter season. But because of the store's policy, where one hat purchase will equate to a donation, Make Give Live was able to distribute 200 winter hats in total.

In 2019, Archie was pictured wearing the beanie with his father while they were on a Christmas holiday in Vancouver, Canada. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex told the makers that Archie still owns a lot of Make Give Live beanies since it comes in every size.

Harry and Meghan's substantial donation will not just help the children but also the knitting group members of Make Give Live. The organization also thanked the Sussex family for shining the light on their activities.

Make Give Live is a social enterprise that provides support for crafters and makers in New Zealand. Its co-founder said that since Archie's photo from last year, they had a steady stream of orders from their online store despite the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Harry, Meghan and Archie celebrated their very first Christmas at their new home in Montecito, California. Two days before Christmas eve, the animal welfare charity Mayhew, where Meghan is the royal patron, shared the Christmas card they received from the Sussexes.

The Christmas photo was taken by the duchess' mother, Doria Ragland, at their Montecito backyard but the card was turned into a colorful drawing. Speculations suggested that Harry and Meghan meant to blur Archie's face to protect his privacy but royal fans could not help but see Archie's resemblance with his cousin, Prince George, the third in line to the British throne.

Archie is now around 19 months old and has yet to play with his royal cousins in person since he left London in November 2019. The Sussex family originally planned to spend Christmas in Sandringham with the rest of the royals this year but COVID-19 ruined their trip back home.
