Actor Lee Min Ho and Kpop star Kang Daniel capped off the year by donating to three organizations aimed at protecting vulnerable children.

Through the platform PROMIZ, the King: Eternal Monarch star donated 50 million won to Holt Children's Services Inc., Save the Children, and Good Neighbors International, Soompi reported.

According to his agency, MYM Entertainment, Lee Min Ho chose to support the three organizations due to the rising rate of child abuse in South Korea which was aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic as more people were forced to stay home.

The actor's donation will go a long way in supporting programs that seek to improve family relationships. It will also fund psychological counseling to child abuse victims to help them deal with the trauma.

At the beginning of the year, Lee Min Ho was one of the actors who donated the most amount of money to purchase personal protection equipment (PPE) for health care workers and children with vulnerable immune systems. It can be recalled that he donated 300 million won or roughly $276,000 to the cause.

PROMIZ expressed their gratitude to the actor for helping raise awareness on child abuse through his actions. By donating to the charity, he not only used his celebrity to shine a spotlight on the plight of the victims but he also provided practical assistance to the vulnerable children.

This year, Lee Min Ho and his agency received recognition for their positive contributions to the community from the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare.

The actor is currently preparing to film the first-ever Korean original production on Apple TV + entitled Pachinko

Lee Min Ho was not the only celebrity to support children's causes this 2020. Kang Daniel and his agency KONNECT Entertainment supported the Holt Children's Services (HCS) campaign entitled Please Protect Me

Kang Daniel and his staff spent the year-end purchasing campaign kits and sewing book covers for books that will be delivered to underprivileged children over the holidays.

The proceeds of the donation will be used to fund mental health care and medical care, as well as provide support for housing, living expenses, and educational expenses to less fortunate families.

According to Daniel, he and his team wanted to do something special for the children so that they may feel warmth during the cold winter. For their part, HCS ensured that the donations will go a long way in helping families at risk, All Kpop reported.
