BTS has opened so many doors for the K-pop industry. The genre flourished domestically in the early 1990s, and RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook took things to the next level in recent years.

With so many talented and good looking idols in the K-pop world, many may wonder why BTS is so popular. If success is to be based on singing and dancing, there are so many K-pop stars to choose from. If popularity is about looking gorgeous, the industry is full of next-level visuals.

So what makes RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook so different for them to achieve superstardom status? In BTS‘s Break The Silence Episode 2: You Can Call Me Idol, JM reveals the key to their success.

Jimin explains that despite the group having seven completely different people with contrasting personalities, they all have the same goal. For the “Filter” singer, their differences don’t matter because each member has one aim, and that’s what makes BTS successful.

“We all have different personalities, and even every little detail about us is different. But regardless of all this, the reason we are able to get along is because our final goals are the same,” he said.

Many have repeatedly pointed out that BTS is not just a K-pop group, they are family. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have a very visible strong bond that makes a lot of people drawn to them.

Some even became a part of the fandom after watching their variety shows, such as Run BTS!, Bon Voyage, and more. Meaning, the boys have captured hearts through their personalities and chemistry.

On top of that, BTS is known for releasing songs that are out of the K-pop norm. The boys are not afraid to be different and would rather be a trendsetter than be the ones following it.

Also, the BTS members have a very stable and healthy relationship with ARMYs. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook always make sure that they show gratitude and appreciation to their fans. In fact, they created their mega-hit “Dynamite” to comfort ARMYs during the pandemic.

As if that’s not enough reason to love BTS, the boys have remained humble despite their global success. While most celebrities would let fame go to their heads and forget their humble beginnings, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have always noted that they've reached their achievements because of ARMYs.
