Power Book II: Ghost season 2 has been renewed in September 2020, just a few weeks following the premiere of the first installment. Now, the freshman series has just recently concluded and it leaves a lot of questions for several characters moving forward.
Naturi Naughton's Tasha St. Patrick is one of the major concerns in Power Book II: Ghost season 2. Her storyline seemingly reached a sense of finality, considering what transpired in the season 1 finale. She got out of prison and she's now in witness protection.
Tasha was able to prove her innocence and the death of her husband, Ghost St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick), was pinned on Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora). Due to this series of events, she was placed under witness protection.
Initially, she tried to avoid this and run away with her son, Tariq St. Patrick, (Michael Rainey J.) who's actually responsible for Ghost's death. However, the latter realized that Tommy would never stop hunting for Tasha, that why he made a final call himself.
Tariq's mother is now living her life elsewhere while he moves forward on his own. After what happened, fans have been wondering whether or not Naughton will reprise her role in Power Book II: Ghost season 2. Nothing is officially confirmed, but there's likely a plan for it.
In a recent interview with TVLine, showrunner/creator Courtney Kemp discussed what's next for Tasha following the events at the end of the first installment. While Tariq did his best to save his mother, he has no control over where or what Tasha will be doing later on.
Kemp teased that when Power Book II: Ghost season 2 arrives, viewers will see Tariq wanting to know where his mother is. This is an essential part of his storyline, leaving more doors open to what lies ahead. He may spend most of his time trying to locate her whereabouts.
There is no guarantee Tasha will be making an appearance in the next installment, but she's been one of the important characters that drive the first season. Her potential exit could also set the stage for a new, different era for everyone.
In the event Tasha won't be coming back in Power Book II: Ghost season 2, the story may focus more on Tariq building his own empire. He's been through a lot already in the first season, and now, more people are after her and ready to take him down.
