After the huge success of Netflix's adaptation of the webtoon Sweet Home, audiences are abuzz over the possibility of a second season. Actor Lee Do Hyun recently dished on the possibility of returning to the show.

According to a report by All Kpop, Lee Do Hyun recently held a video interview for XSportsNews and talked about his role in the horror fantasy drama.

It can be recalled that at the end of the first season, his character Lee Eun Hyeok stayed behind at the collapsing Green Home Apartment after he experienced nosebleeds, one of the first signs of monsterization. In his final scene, it was shown that Eun Hyeok was sitting in front of the CCTV monitors, listening to his favorite tunes on his trusty Discman.

The scene was pretty ambiguous because it did not determine Eun Hyeok's fate. According to Lee Do Hyun, the probability of Eun Hyeok's survival would depend on whether he turned into a monster before or after the entire building collapsed.

He admitted that he would love to return for a second season but he did not want to get his hopes up, only to be disappointed. He said his return would depend on the decision of the directors on where they would like to take the story.

If he is called back for Season 2, Do Hyun said he would like his character to turn into a monster similar to Cha Hyun Soo, a person who can control his monsterization and fight to protect humanity.

Meanwhile, a separate report hints at the possible scenario for Sweet Home's second season.

According to a report by All Kpop, the second season would most likely look into the experiments that started the monsterization phenomenon.

At the end of Sweet Home Season 1, the remaining survivors of the Green Home apartment were shipped off by the military to an unknown safe zone. However, Lee Si Young's character Seo Yi Kyeong gave them a final message to stay alive no matter what before they parted on different journeys.

Given her knowledge about Operation Golden Hour, it was likely she was warning the survivors to stay on their toes.

Another theory suggested that Hyun Su will try to save Sang Wook from the sludge monster while trying to keep him alive. It is possible that once Hyun Su achieves this, he might team up with Sang Wook to reunite with the rest of the survivors.
