Rain and Park Jin Young's recent guesting in Knowing Bros elevated them to the top of the list of buzzworthy non-drama television appearances.

According to a report by Soompi, the list was released by Good Data Corporation based on its analysis of news articles, blog posts, videos, social media posts, and posts on online communities. A total of 174 non-drama shows were included in the analysis.

Rain and Park Jin Young, who recently released the collaboration track "Switch to Me," appeared in several shows for the week of December 28 to January 3 as part of their promotion.

Rain's appearance on Knowing Bros topped the list of buzzworthy guestings while Park Jin Young took second place. Rain and Park Jin Young also took the fourth and ninth spots for their guesting on KBS's AM Plaza.

Recently, Rain appeared as a guest on My Little Old Boy. During the episode, he shared stories about his early days as a struggling artist and how Park Jin Young helped him during his difficult times.

He said he looked up to Park Jin Young not only as a mentor but as a good friend who helped him save his mom's life when he was broke and could not send her to the hospital for treatment, Soompi reported.

According to Rain, the JYP Entertainment founder canceled all of his schedules when he called to ask for help. He came to the house and helped Rain load his mom into JYP's car. Park Jin Young then drove Rain and his mother to the hospital and signed the guarantee that he would pay for the entire bill. Rain said that because of Jin Young's kindness, his mom was able to survive for three more weeks.

Rain said the first big opportunity in his career was also because of Park Jin Young. It can be recalled that JYP Entertainment discovered and signed Rain as their first solo artist in 2002. For this, Rain expressed gratitude for having met a person like Jin Young. He credited JYP for the opportunities that he got to enjoy because of his confidence.

In 2015, Rain left JYP to start his own agency, Rain Company, which manages his career along with a few select artists.

Rain was one of the first Korean artists to break through the Hollywood scene and star in his own movie Ninja Assassin in 2009. He was reportedly offered to star in an X-Men movie in 2017 but he opted to complete his biopic Race to Freedom: Um Bok Dong instead, Koreaboo reported. Rain continues to be active in the acting and music scene with collaborations with other artists like Zico, Yoo Jae Suk, and Lee Hyori, and most recently, Park Jin Young.
