NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 episode 9 is going to feature more stories about G. Callen (Chris O'Donnell), as well as Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen). These two will have their own storylines in "A Fait Accompli," with Callen focusing on his love life and Deeks on his career.

NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 episode 9 sees Callen preparing to propose to Anna Kolcheck (Bar Paly). He's been planning to settle down with her and even informed her father, Arkady (Vyto Ruginis), about this matter. However, the situation might be a little bit complicated for them.

Arkady presented an idea, in which nothing needs to change between Callen and Anna since both of them weren't really the marrying type of people. It's still unclear what Arkady is trying to imply, but it seems as though he's fine with the relationship of the two.

While Callen goes to ask the ultimate question to Anna in NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 episode 9, the team needs to track down a crime leader purchasing stolen defense technology. Callen's plan might get interrupted since they have to deal with the case of the week.

Despite a few setbacks, Callen is ready to be in a larger commitment, and he's going to do everything to make his plan happen. It remains to be seen whether or not Anna will appear here, since Paly wasn't listed as one of the guest stars in the upcoming episode.

Meanwhile, Deeks is dealing with his own predicament in NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 episode 9. Even though he was dismissed being a liaison, he was given an opportunity to remain working in the department. He's currently training to be an official agent.

However, he will eventually get kicked out of training, and the reason behind it is yet to be seen. This is sad news for him, yet Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt) has a bigger surprise for him. The synopsis noted that the Operation Manager has a "life-changing surprise for him."

It's interesting to see what Hetty is bringing to Deeks, given that it was teased as a life-changing. Perhaps, she found a way to hire him full-time and be part of the team without proper training. They believe that he deserves it, especially since he's an active part of the Los Angeles Police Department and worked alongside other agents over the past years.

NCIS: Los Angeles season 12 episode 9 airs on Sunday, January 17, on CBS.
