The Curse of Oak Island season 8 episode 10 will continue to see brother Rick and Marty Lagina looking for more clues about the location of the speculated Money Pit. They already made several discoveries, and their investigation will further continue in next week's episode.

The Curse of Oak Island season 8 episode 10 picks up where episode 9, titled "Rock, Paper, Serpents", left off. The Laginas and their team lead an excavation to find more evidence. The fellowship wanted to know whether the stone structure in the swamp could be a roadway.

Before they proceeded with their plan, the team acquired the necessary permits to start the excavation. When they successfully obtained it, Rick, Dr. Spooner, Gary Drayton, Jack Begley, and Billy Gerhardt, investigated the stone structure found in the southeastern portion of the swamp.

They were able to drain the water in that area of the swamp, which was believed to be near the stone structure. As their excavation continues, they unearthed several other structures and speculated that these could lead them to the location of the Money Pit.

To further investigate what lies beneath, Jack and Gary used a metal detector and located a plum bob. Moreover, the latter was able to find blue pottery and charcoal. This investigation will continue in The Curse of Oak Island season 8 episode 10, and whether or not the stone structure is a roadway.

Meanwhile, the fellowship also analyzed the serpent mound. Doug Crowell theorized that it was created by the Knights Templar members. The theory was supported by Craig Tester, who explained that the charcoal from the structure of the serpent mound could be dated back to 1320 to 1440.

This is going to be a huge part of The Curse of Oak Island season 8 episode 10, as well. The Knights Templar theory has been a huge part of the team's journey. They began focusing on this in the previous installment as they believed that the religious and holy order buried the treasure on the island.

Now that the team discovered charcoal that could be tied to the Knights Templar, they became more determined to do a lot of diggings. Viewers will see more of the team doing excavations to find the Money Pit, as well as to solve the mysteries surrounding the island.

The Curse of Oak Island season 8 episode 10 airs on Tuesday, January 12, on History Channel.
