The Curse of Oak Island season 8 episode 8 is coming this week on History Channel, with the title "High on the Bog." Viewers will continue to see brothers Rick and Marty Lagina, along with their team, on their journey in searching the speculated valuable Money Pit.
The Curse of Oak Island season 8 episode 8 will be picking up where episode 7, titled "Mounting Evidence," left off. The team speculated that a burnt ship might have been buried in the swamp, leading them to conduct multiple seismic scans to find evidence.
The Laginas were convinced that a Spanish galleon carrying valuable items might have been lying at the bottom of the swamp. Their speculation was further fueled after discovering a roadway that could direct them to the location of the Money Pit.
In episode 7, Alex Lagina decided to dive down into the Atlantic to find out more about the mysterious roadway. The team loses communication with him for a moment. Eventually, he returned after finding nothing but boulders. This will continue in The Curse of Oak Island season 8 episode 8.
The roadway might be holding many secrets and clues, with the team suspecting the path was used by seafarers to unload the speculated treasure. With the discovery of a piece of a potbelly stove, everyone is convinced that the item might belong to the sunken ship.
In the synopsis of The Curse of Oak Island season 8 episode 8, the team is more eager to excavate further now that they found a possible slipway in the swamp. They're also going to focus on Zena's map as it may have been pointing them to the Treasure Vault all along.
Over the past years, a lot of treasure hunters have been looking for the Money Pit. Until now, however, no one knows its specific location within the mysterious island. The search began many years ago, even before the reality show airs on TV.
The hunt continued, and it was eventually deemed as a "curse" when several treasure hunters perished while searching for the Money Pit. As per legends, seven people must die to solve the mysteries surrounding the island. Right now, six have died in the efforts of locating the treasure.
