Yusuke Murata finally gave an update about One Punch Man Chapter 138. After a long wait, it looks like fans will finally see what will happen next to the series.

It has been more than two weeks since Chapter 137 dropped. Now, all eyes are on One Punch Man Chapter 138 after Murata posts something about it.

It seems to be a common practice that whenever Murata gives an update about the manga series, a new chapter will drop in a few days. The famed illustrator said on Twitter that the series would be updated "at the beginning of next week," BlockToro noted.

In his translated tweet, he apologized for keeping fans waiting and asking everyone to wait for a moment. He then revealed he would let readers know "when the update was near."

By the looks of it, One Punch Man Chapter 138 may be ready and will soon be out anytime next week. In fact, there are predictions it will drop on Monday, January 11.

So, what will happen here? The storyline has finally introduced Blast. Despite his recent arrival, he is not new to this superhero-versus-villain world.

He is said to have a previous connection with Tatsumaki after he saved his life a decade ago. Devdiscourse added the new chapter might once again establish the fact that Blast had a lot of superpowers.

The new chapter is also expected to give some updates about Saitama after being out of the spotlight in the previous chapters. There are rumors Saitama and Blast are only one being or have a strong connection with each other.

Whatever it is, it is expected to be revealed in One Punch Man Chapter 138 if they finally make an appearance. In addition, the new chapter's cover art leaked earlier showed the image of Pig God, eating a monster-like creature and showing his powers.

Pig-God is an S-Class hero that can almost eat anything and everything. He can defeat any enemies that will come his way by devouring them all. The cover art also includes the words, "It's time for the final course," asking readers if they are hungry.

Does this mean the manga's current story arc is about to come to an end? Anyhow, Mice News Ph noted fans who have read ONE's webcomic might already have an idea of what would happen next.

The webcomic is said two arcs in advance compared to the redrawn manga. Trying not to spoil the readers with any major happenings, One Punch Man Chapter 138 may only show a glimpse of Saitama, Psykos' defeat, and, of course, Blast.
