A very pregnant Princess Eugenie is back in the house where she grew up and she'll likely stay at the Royal Lodge, the home of her parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, for quite some time with her husband Jack Brooksbank.

Finding Freedom biographer Omid Scobie revealed in his podcast show that Eugenie and Jack have been staying at her parents' home since the Christmas holidays. Scobie expects that the young couple, who will soon become first-time parents, will remain at the Duke and Duchess of York's estate until "much later in the year."

This means that Eugenie and her new baby with Jack will be comfortable in their first few months at the Royal Lodge in the Windsor Estate. The home holds a lot of memories for Eugenie and her sister, Princess Beatrice, since they've lived in this 30-room mansion in their younger years.

Eugenie also moved into the Royal Lodge during the first lockdown in March 2020. The Duchess of York confirmed in a YouTube show that it has been a lovely experience bonding with her daughter again since they haven't spent time together after Eugenie married Jack.

Prince Andrew has made the Royal Lodge his official residence since 2004 or a few years after his divorce from Sarah. Four years later, Sarah would live in the same house as well, as she and her ex-husband agreed to co-parent Beatrice and Eugenie. This arrangement has been the same for nearly two decades.

The news of Eugenie's move back to her childhood home comes as she and Jack just packed their bags from the neighboring Frogmore Cottage, which is also in the Windsor grounds. The York royal had an arrangement with her cousin, Prince Harry, to live in the mansion while the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are still in California.

Harry and Meghan still own the five-bedroom Frogmore Cottage, which was a gift from Queen Elizabeth, but they were happy to share the house with the Brooksbank pair and their incoming newborn if they were ever in town. The surprising deal, however, made headlines a few weeks ago, and less than six weeks later, Eugenie and Jack decided to leave their cousin's place but didn't disclose the reasons.

Meanwhile, Eugenie hasn't revealed where she plans on giving birth. However, royal fans are speculating that she might follow her mother and cousin-in-law, Meghan Markle, who gave birth at the Portland Hospital, some 45 minutes away from the Royal Lodge.

Eugenie and Jack actually have a house in the city at the Ivy Cottage in Kensington Palace. Royal observers said, however, that raising a child in Windsor would be more ideal.
