"Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" Zombies Free Access Week is coming. During the event, players can access Treyarch's Zombies mode for free, This is available on all platforms although Playstation system users have a little more to play on.

Zombies Free Access Week

On its official blog post, "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" announced the upcoming Zombies Free Access Week. The free access week commences on Jan.14 and will run until Jan. 21. According to the devs, whatever players earn during this free access week will stay should they decide to purchase the game following the event.

The free access week will include three "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" Zombies events. This includes the Die Maschine and Cranked Mode for all platforms and an additional Onslaught mode exclusive for PlayStation players.

For players who are new to the Zombies mode, they could start with Die Maschine. It starts as an homage to the classic World at War map and an introduction, as well to the new mechanics and lore of the "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" era.

Cranked Mode

Cranked Mode is a little more challenging mode in "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War." It takes place on the same map but features the additional challenge of the Cranked Timer. Players must continuously kill the Undead to survive this mode. Unlike other modes, each player self-destructs if they don't reset their timer. Resetting the timer is only possible by killing zombies. This mode is more fun since the timer gets shorter as the players get further on the map.

Onslaught Mode

The Onslaught mode is free but only for "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" players on PlayStation consoles. This is a part of the devs' controversial promise of added perks for PS players. The Onslaught mode is a two-player Zombies experience on "Cold war" multiplayer maps.

It is a fast-paced mode where players use their loadouts to fight against extremely aggressive Zombies. There is a Dark Aether Ord that confines players to a particular space on the map until that spot is charged by the souls of the Undead. The safe area in this mode shifts and as it happens, an increasingly more challenging surge of zombies and powerful Elites appear. Players need to kill enough Elites to earn special medals and exclusive weapon blueprints.

The Zombies Free Access Week is only available for a limited time. So," Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold war" players should take note of its availability if they want to take part on various Zombies mode for free.
