Dating rumors plagued Brad Pitt and Alia Shawkat these past few years. But, despite all the assertions about them, these did not seemingly bother the pair as they continued on with their friendship.

Gossip Cop recently recalled all of the shocking allegations about Pitt and Shawkat. From their rumored romantic relationship to their supposed engagement and wedding, the publication covered these narratives to end all the fabricated stories about them, once and for all.

The latest claims came from In Touch, wherein sources alleged that the Troy actor left his former wife Jennifer Aniston for the Search Party actress. They, reportedly, became "close to reuniting" but, he chose to "pursue a relationship and eventual marriage" with Alia Shawkat.

Gossip Cop maintained its stand, noting that all of the rumors involving Brad Pitt and Alia Shawkat are false. While being certain, the publication still reached out to a reliable source for further confirmation. As reported, insiders close to the Ad Astra star assured that he never proposed to the Arrested Development actress.

The same outlet, also, clarified that Pitt and Aniston never got back together. Even though many tabloids and magazines continue to insist on this story, the truth remains that they never rekindled their romance nor plan to do it in the future. These days, though, the pair appears to have maintained a good friendship amid all the speculations.

Apart from the publication's efforts to dismiss the bogus claims, Alia Shawkat herself broke her silence to reveal the truth, according to E! Online. Speaking to Vulture, she explained that they are not dating, adding that she and Brad Pitt are "just friends."

The actress, also, recalled how she met the Moneyball actor. She shared that they met through Spike Jonze, whom she is close to since she was 9-years-old.

Shawkat, later on, stated that she felt "overwhelmed" with all of the attention. Reports said, however, that she was able to laugh at the situation following all the controversies.

To date, there are no new stories about Brad Pitt and Alia Shawkat. But, they still make the headlines on their own, especially the World War Z actor.

On Tuesday, People released a report about his most recent photo shoot for an ad campaign. Pitt posed for a few snaps to promote their estate rosé.

One of the photos features him in his "laid-back mood," poolside as he enjoys his lounge chair. The same publication, then, said that fashion photographer Lachlan Bailey took the shot for the campaign.
