J-Hope earned the title “Sunshine" from ARMYs because of his bright and bubbly personality, but he is sometimes dubbed the “mother” of BTS because of how he takes good care of his members. RM even considers J-Hope the second leader of BTS and would give up his position for him any time of the day. Jin also shared that JH plays a major role in helping the group’s mental health.

That said, it is obvious that J-Hope loves his members very much. However, he seems to have a hard time saying those three words to RM, Jin, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.

In an earlier broadcast, Jimin picked a question that read: “What makes you happy just by hearing it?” The “Filter” singer said that he loves hearing the words “I love you.”

Jimin then told J-Hope, “I love you,” with a huge smile on his face while making a finger heart. “Love you! What do you say back?” he said.

Unfortunately for Jimin, J-Hope is not as comfortable saying “I love you” as him, so he didn’t hear those three words from JH. Despite his Sunshine status, the “Chicken Noodle Soup” hitmaker looked more embarrassed than bubbly because of JM’s sudden “I love you.”

As it turns out, it was not the first time Jimin said “I love you” to J-Hope and wanting to hear it back from him. The BTS rapper shared that the 25-year-old singer, songwriter, and dancer have already done it before.

“The funny thing is when he says ‘love you,’ he asks me to say that back. I got goosebumps when I tried to. That’s why I respond with, ‘Okay,’” J-Hope shared.

But don’t feel bad for Jimin, true-blooded ARMYs know how much J-Hope loves JM. But some people are a bit more reserved when it comes to expressing their love through words. JH is more comfortable showing his affection through his actions than saying it.

Meanwhile, J-Hope and Jimin are the two remaining members of BTS who still share the same room. Big Hit Entertainment is wealthy enough to provide rooms for each member, but the pair probably didn’t demand to get their own like the other boys.

BTS started together in one room, but RM, Jin, Suga, V, and Jungkook eventually branched out into their own rooms. As for J-Hope and Jimin, they prefer to stick together as eternal roommates to this day.
