Ubisoft rolls out a sizeable update on "Assassin's Creed Valhalla," which introduces multiple quality of life changes, bug fixes, and improvements.

The news was shared by Ubisoft on its official blog post, which details the changes and features introduced in "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" update 1.1.1. The devs are looking forward that the update would provide players with a noticeable improvement, especially those who have been experiencing a series of minor issues and smaller bugs. While the update is massive, its size varies depending on the gaming platform.

Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S owners receive around 7.5 GB update while Xbox One users receive the patch at around 6.6 GB. PC players receive approximately 6.45 GB update, PS4 users at around 2 to 3 GB of update depending on the region, and PS5 users at approximately 2 GB.

With the arrival of the update, "Assassin's Creed Valhalla," players will notice that war cries no loner loop or repeat oddly. After blowing a horn, Eivor no longer starts gliding but walks left foot first. The scenario where NPCs run screaming from a raid and strangely return to the scene a few moments afterward is no longer available.

The latest update also addresses the issue that removes Bjorn from the ship's crew. Bjorn is the character Eivor meets in The Way of the Berserker mission, which, upon completion, allows him to become a recruitable character. Before the update, he got replaced by a random NPC or at times, could not be hired, now players can recruit him.

Also, players will notice changes in Vinland. Before the release of Update 1.1.1 in "Assassin's Creed Valhalla," players could kill NPCs just by throwing corpses at them. There is also a boat that floats, seemingly unaffected by the Earth's gravity. Now, the boat is grounded. Also, before the patch, guards would watch Eivor burn other guards with oil jars, and they would just shrug their shoulders. However, they do not do that now.

Aside from those, devs also added in-game support for Ubisoft Connect achievements. This includes unlocking conditions for Quest-related or not-repeatable achievements. After players complete a new quest, achievements where unlock conditions were met will emerge. Achievements also pop up when players perform an achievement-related action after the unlock condition.

"Assassin's Creed Valhalla" is Ubisoft's latest instalment to the popular "Assassin's Creed" series. The game is available on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PS5.
