Prince Harry might be miles away from his family in London, but despite leaving the royal fold, he is still getting a lot of mentoring from his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, according to a royal expert.

Royal correspondent Katie Nicholl revealed that Harry is always in touch with the Queen, as well as his father, Prince Charles. Both senior members of the royal family apparently guide Harry and Meghan Markle in their decisions and choices as they plan out their lives as financially-independent adults across the pond.

Nicholl said that Queen Elizabeth is aware of what's happening with Harry, Meghan, their new foundation, and their various commercial deals. Her grandson, on the other hand, still values what the Queen has to say as he has always seen Her Majesty as his mentor.

The royal correspondent also said that not much has really changed between Harry and his relationship with the Queen despite how the Sussex pair's departure from the royal family came out in the news. As a bonus, their frequent video conference calls have also allowed Her Majesty to see her great-grandson, Archie Harrison.

Because the Queen is up-to-date about Harry and Meghan's plans, Nicholl said that there would likely be no more review of the couple's potential reinstatement as working royals. Royal fans will recall that Queen Elizabeth extended this condition when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex quit their status as working senior royals in March 2020.

Nicholl said in another interview that the Queen believes the current arrangement with Harry and Meghan is working for everyone. Prince Charles and Prince William also apparently agree that there is no more need for a Megxit review since the Sussexes have constantly communicated their goals and objectives with the monarch.

However, the one thing that's still on the cards is Harry's military roles, which he had to give up as well after quitting as a working royal. However, sources told Nicholl that there would ultimately be a decision made about these roles as Harry's military patronages need an active member of the royal family to help with their causes.

Some heartbreaks aside, however, Nicholl also said that Harry has been adjusting pretty well in his life in California with Meghan. Admittedly, however, he felt understandably homesick during the first few months away from home, especially after his father and brother had COVID-19.

Harry and Meghan are expected to fly to London in June 2021. It will be their first time back at home since the pandemic lockdown. The Queen apparently wanted the Sussexes to be present for her birthday parade.
