Spencer James (Daniel Ezra) and Billy Baker (Taye Diggs) will be facing more challenges in All American season 3 episode 2. The premiere saw the two adjusting to their new lives after returning to South Crenshaw High. They realized that their move isn't exactly what they expected it to be.
All American season 3 episode 2 comes with the title "How to Survive in South Central," suggesting that Spencer and Billy's lives in the new school would be different. They expected that the football team will give them a warm welcome -- but that didn't happen at all.
Now, Spencer and Billy need to figure out how to live with everyone else in South Crenshaw High. Both of them realized that they need to make some adjustments -- especially when it comes to their style. They must do whatever is necessary to earn the trust of the team.
Beyond Spencer's return in South Crenshaw High, All American season 3 episode 2 will continue to follow the students at Beverly Hills High. For instance, Jordan Baker's (Michael Evans Behling) starting quarterback position when a new football coach at the school shows up.
Coop (Bre-Z) and Layla Keating (Greta Onieogou), on the other hand, get into an argument due to the former's tour paycheck. Because of this, the latter found out the reason why Patience (Chelsea Tavares) decided to leave the tour early.
Elsewhere in All American season 3 episode 2, Asher Adams' (Cody Christian) relationship with Olivia Baker (Samantha Logan) might fall apart. Asher has been keeping secrets from Olivia and it could jeopardize whatever they have at the moment.
In the premiere, Spencer and his friends at Beverly Hills High went on a road trip to Las Vegas. Although nothing is confirmed, there's a possibility that something may have happened between him and Olivia. This could potentially lead to problems in her relationship with Asher.
Olivia heard Spencer talking to his coach regarding the arm injuries. She, then, hugged him and commended him for telling the truth. The episode ended with Spencer asking Olivia if they weren't going to talk about what happened between them in summer.
Meanwhile, the season 3 opener generated a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic and more than a million viewers. Reportedly, the premiere is the most-watched episode of the series when it comes to live ratings.
