The Good Doctor season 4 episode 8 will see Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) meeting his girlfriend's, Lea Dilallo (Paige Spara), parents for the first time. This is another milestone for the couple and that only means that that they're taking their relationship seriously.

Shaun meeting Lea's parents is a significant moment for the two in The Good Doctor season 4 episode 8. There'll be a lot of preparations when it comes to this matter, especially since Shaun wants to make a good impression and wants everything to be perfect.

Lea's parents, on the other hand, weren't really fond of their daughter's exes. This is a chance for Shaun to prove that he is different from all of them. He's doing whatever is necessary -- preparing himself on how to act so that he could avoid making some mistakes.

In some preview photos of The Good Doctor season 4 episode 8, Shaun can be seen doing a "trial run" before officially meeting Lea's parents. Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff) and Morgan Reznick (Fiona Gubelmann) were playing Lea's father and mother, respectively.

There were food, wine glasses, and candles on the table and they're seemingly talking about something. Their major goal is to mimic the possible scenario so that Shaun will be comfortable when the actual meeting comes. However, some unforeseen events may happen and it could ruin the preparation.

While Shaun wants everything to be done smoothly, he may do or say something that could make the situation awkward. He tends to be straightforward sometimes -- which has a good and bad side. He could say something wrong or off and it could make everyone on the dinner table uncomfortable.

After all, Shaun just recently found out that Lea was married in the past. While she already told him that her ex-husband was no longer significant to her life, not knowing about this part of her life may have impacted Shaun. Although settled the discussions, this could revelation possibly affect their future.

Aside from this storyline, The Good Doctor season 4 episode 8 is going to deliver another medical case for the doctors at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. They'll be treating a teenage gymnast who's experiencing complications because of her extensive training.

Audrey Lim (Christina Chang) will have her own spotlight, as well. Within this episode, she'll continue to deal with her PTSD. She had a breakdown amidst the COVID-19 outbreak at the hospital. Her current situation has been affecting both her personal and professional life.

The Good Doctor season 4 episode 8, titled "Parenting," is scheduled to air on Monday, Jan. 25, on ABC.
