Batwoman season 2 episode 3 is coming this weekend on The CW, with the title "Bat Girl Magic." Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie) is the new version of the titular superhero, and she's going to learn more about her roles in the future. However, that also means that she'll have to carry a huge responsibility.

In Batwoman season 2 episode 3, Ryan will try to understand what it means to be a superhero and a normal person at the same time. This will be her first major challenge; she needs to adapt to her new surroundings and go on her new journey on her own.

Ryan realized that she and the first version of Batwoman, Kate Kane (Ruby Rose), were entirely different. This is one of the reasons why she isn't trying to emulate her appearance. Even though they take on the same role, they're still completely different persons.

The good news is that Batwoman season 2 episode 3 will finally introduce Ryan's Batsuit. Even before the current installment premieres, there have been talks that Ryan and Kate's costume won't be the same. Now, in this week's episode, fans will officially see the distinctions between the two.

According to the synopsis, Ryan is doing her best to prove that she deserves to be called "Batwoman." She'll be dealing with the challenges that every superhero face: living a double life. However, the people around her have varying opinions about being the latest version of the titular character.

Mary (Nicole Kang) remains on Ryan's side, while Luke (Camrus Johnson) still has doubts -- especially after Ryan made alterations and unveiled a new Batsuit. Since most people in Gotham were used to seeing Kate's version, some of them may have reservations about Leslie's character.

Meanwhile, Batwoman season 2 episode 3 will also see Victor Szasz (Alex Morf) arriving in the city. He is causing chaos in the streets, prompting Commander Kane (Dougray Scott) to call The Crows to stop the Snakebite's flow throughout Gotham.

As for Safiyah (Shivaani Ghai), her storyline might be a slow burn -- but she'll eventually serve as one of the major villains. Within this episode, she began to notice Alice's (Rachel Skarsten) antics. These two know each other, and they could eventually team up to take Ryan down.

Batwoman season 2 episode 3 airs on Sunday, Jan. 31, on The CW. The episode is directed by Holly Dale and written by Nancy Kiu.
