WARNING: This article contains spoilers for the fourth season of Money Heist. Read at your own risk.

Money Heist season 5 is going to be the final one for the crime drama and it needs to address a lot of storylines. For instance, Alicia Sierra's (Najwa Nimri) pregnancy has been in question in previous seasons. Fans speculated that she is faking her pregnancy, as well as her husband's death.

Sierra has been pregnant throughout the third and fourth installment, but the truth about her condition may eventually come out in Money Heist season 5. According to some fans, the inspector was just faking her pregnancy and that she's hiding the truth about her late husband, German.

Sierra claimed that German died due to pancreatic cancer before the events in season 3 happened. The story about her late husband was first mentioned when she confronted former inspector Raquel Murillo/Lisbon (Itziar Ituño). She admitted that her husband passed away before the second heist.

But then, some suspected that she fabricated the entire story. In fact, a fan on Reddit noted that "something a little fishy is going on." One of the biggest clues here is that no one knew about Sierra's late husband -- except for Raquel, to which the fan said it's "weird."

Perhaps, she made up the story to guilt-trip the former inspector and to gain sympathy from others at the same time. The fan further added that Sierra doesn't appear to be "very pregnant" since she still smokes, drinks a lot of caffeine, and doing strenuous movements.

However, others were convinced that Sierra is, indeed, pregnant and she'll give birth in the premiere of Money Heist season 5. She could go into labor in front of The Professor (Álvaro Morte), who was supposed to be her "hostage" following the events at the end of the fourth installment.

One fan noted that the inspector is really pregnant and not faking her current condition. The viewer implied that Sierra allowed Rio (Miguel Herran) to touch her stomach and he felt the baby kicking. But, for now, it's yet to be seen whether or not the truth about this matter will come out in the series finale.

Meanwhile, Money Heist season 5 kicked off production back in August 2020. Just like other shows, the series encountered filming setbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Shortly after returning to work, the cast and crew members have been posting on-set pictures.

Money Heist season 5 is set to premiere at some point in 2021 on Netflix.
