The first game of the season is coming in All American season 3 episode 3. Spencer James (Daniel Ezra) is about to face his first game of the fall and there'll expectations that come along with it. He's starting to feel the pressure around him, yet he also needs to have a clear path on his mind.

The title of All American season 3 episode 3 is "High Expectations," which is a reference to the game Spencer's about to enter. He's going to play again, but this time, his former school Beverly Hills High is the opposing team. This will be a huge challenge for him -- both personally and professionally.

Spencer has been dealing with a lot of complications following his transfer to South Crenshaw High. The injury he sustained back in season 2 is also causing him troubles until now. This is a problem for him, especially since the game season is about to start.

As per the synopsis of All American season 3 episode 3, Spencer feels the pressure on and off the field as the first game of the season is approaching. Because of his current situation, he decided to go to Layla Keating (Greta Onieogou) for advice and she gave him a helpful suggestion.

Meanwhile, the people at Beverly Hills High are feeling the pressure, as well. Since Spencer and coach Billy Baker (Taye Diggs) were gone, Jordan Baker (Michael Evans Behling) must step up his game. He'll try to figure out how to deal with almost everything on his own.

Elsewhere in All American season 3 episode 3, Asher Adams (Cody Christian) is trying to talk to Olivia Baker (Samantha Logan) about what happened last summer. However, she's doing whatever she can to not talk about it and tries to avoid the issue.

Coop (Bre-Z), on the other hand, is still doubting Tyrone's sister, Mo (Erica Peeples). She is not convinced that the latter has good intentions. Yet, she also thinks that she might just be paranoid after learning some key information involving Spencer.

Meanwhile, the sport drama generated good ratings during the premiere. Reportedly, the first episode garnered a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic and more than a million viewers. This is said to be the most-watched episodes in the series when it comes to live-ratings.

All American season 3 episode 3 airs on Monday, Feb. 1, on The CW. The episode is directed by Kristin Windell and written by John A. Norris.
