A new character is going to show up in SEAL Team season 4. Mina Hassan is the latest addition in the military action-drama, and she will have a significant role in the lives of the Bravo Team. Her presence could shake up the world of each member -- especially Ray Perry (Neil Brown Jr.).

In a new report from Deadline, it was confirmed that Heartland and Blood & Treasure alum Shiva Negar will portray the recurring role of Chief Petty Officer Mina Hassan in SEAL Team season 4. As per the description, she's a "diligent and uniquely skilled Navy Cryptologist and Special Activities Senior NCO."

Furthermore, Hassan developed "valuable assets" and built an impressive network in the Middle East. She will be the liaison leading the charge alongside Ray. They're going on a mission to recover some black market weapons in Syria. She will be introduced in one of the episodes in March.

Hassan is going to be a huge part of the mission of the Bravo Team. It's also clear that Ray -- who has been in a dangerous situation since the early run of SEAL Team season 4 -- was rescued. Jason Hayes (David Boreanaz) and the Bravo Team was able to find him even though they encountered problems.

Ray was stuck in a vessel and was taken to the middle of the ocean. The group had a hard time looking for his whereabouts, and they found a way to locate him. But even though he was rescued, the incident left a trauma on him -- both physically and mentally.

Meanwhile, after saving Ray, it looks like Jason is seemingly done with his work in the Bravo Team. During the early part of the season, he made it clear that he wanted to step back as the operator. Now, it seems like his mind hasn't changed despite working with them again to save their missing brother.

In another report, no new episodes are coming within the next few weeks. The series goes on a short hiatus after airing "Horror Has A Face." The COVID-19 pandemic is one of the major reasons for the on-and-off schedule. Most shows have breaks in between due to production delays.

Reportedly, filming in Los Angeles -- where the CBS series shoots -- was temporarily halted earlier in January. The cast and crew of the David Boreanaz-led drama weren't able to store enough episodes before the shutdown.

SEAL Team season 4 is set to return on Wednesday, Fed. 17, on CBS.
