Dropkick on My Devil Season 3 will surely come after a successful crowdfunding campaign. With both anime and manga's success, fans are now looking forward to seeing Jashin-chan and Yurine's return.
The makers announced the coming of Dropkick on My Devil Season 3 after the second season's finale. Studio Nomad will return to produce the third season after helming the first two installments.
According to TV Season Spoilers, the third season's announcement came after the fundraising's goal was reached in just 33 hours. On September 30, 2020, the anime's production committee launched a crowdfunding campaign to gather 20 million Yen.
Fortunately, in just more than a day, they managed to complete the money needed. From here, the new season's coming was confirmed.
Anyhow, the committee didn't end the campaign just yet. They closed the fundraising on December 31, 2020, instead of gathering more than 36 million Yen in total.
One fan, reportedly, donated 1.1 million Yen, so the creators let him create a subtitle name for Dropkick on My Devil Season 3. Hence, it would be called Dropkick on My Devil!! X.
According to makers, X represents the hope that Yurine and Jashin-can will continue to cross each other's path and fight forever. So, after confirming the renewal, Studio Nomad announced it is now in development.
Anime News Network added the anime's official website revealed the production would take at least a year before it would start. The staff members wanted to create new content that fans would surely enjoy continuously.
They would use the budget they had secured to create a full-length TV anime series while still dropping new content every month. Dropkick on My Devil Season 3 would continue Yukiwo's original manga series, centered on Yurin, a college student who managed to summon Jashin-chan, a demon from the underworld.
The two would continuously live together in an apartment in the Jinbocho district of Tokyo despite continually clashing. Jashin-chan could only return to her world if Yurine met her demise, so she continuously planned her death. Would she succeed this time?
Dropkick on My Devil Season 3, which would be officially called Dropkick on My Devil!! X, would be out in 2022, in time of the manga's 10th anniversary. However, Studio Mad has yet to announce its official release date.
