Attack on Titan Season 4, reportedly, only has 16 episodes, which some fans find are not enough to end Hajime Isayaama's brainchild. As it's now down to eight episodes, it looks like viewers already knew what will happen in Episodes 9, 10, 11, and 12 with the release of its official titles, summaries, release dates, and more.
Attack on Titan Season 4 gets very intense by the minute as it will soon come to an end. Some expect it to have more episodes to properly conclude Eren and the Titans' story, while others wonder why it only has 16 episodes.
According to BlockToro, the four next episode titles of the series are now out and hint at the future storylines.
Episode 9 will be called "Brave Volunteers," while episode 10 will be named "A Sound Argument." On the other hand, Episode 11 is titled "Counterfeit" and Episode 12 is "Guides."
International Business Times revealed the summaries for Episodes 9 and 10, though it remains to be seen what would happen in Episodes 11 and 12.
Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 9 official synopsis revealed there might be "another way" and feelings of "regret and repentance." However, it continued what was lost could "never be regained," which might have something to do with Sasha's death.
Alternatively, the summary for Episode 10 said there would be "no allies in the outside world." So, for everyone to survive, they had to bring the enemy down, though no one knew if it was the "right thing to do."
Meanwhile, Episodes 9 to 12's release dates are also out and already fixed, so there may be no breaks in between. It will be out weekly as scheduled, beginning on February 7 to February 28—basically for the whole month of February.
Anyhow, it's yet to be revealed if there will be Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 or if the anime will go on a break mid-season. MAPPA hasn't confirmed if the final season will only have 16 episodes or more, as the last few manga chapters remain to be adapted.
As some question why Season 4 only has 16 episodes, though Season 2 only had 12, CBR noted it might be because it would be divided into two parts. The anime may faithfully stick to Isayama's work by showing how everything will end in the manga.
There are also assumptions that the story may officially end in a movie and not in Attack on Titan Season 4. Though it's also possible that a part two may happen that will end with special OVA.
