Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow) is about to make a huge decision in her life in the upcoming When Calls the Heart season 8. Her romantic life, in particular, became one of the major parts of her storyline. Now, this will continue to play out and viewers will see where her heart really lies.

The latest trailer of When Calls the Heart season 8 featured Elizabeth contemplating on what she wants for her future. She has been in a complicated love triangle, with Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally) and Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) vying for her heart.

In the clip, the two men are pursuing Elizabeth and doing everything to win her heart. Then, she can be heard saying that "for too long, she's allowed herself to drift between two good men." This is a huge step for her since she tends to hesitate when it comes to this matter.

Elizabeth's love life may finally come to conclusion When Calls the Heart season 8. As seen in the trailer, she's taking off her wedding ring -- which suggests that she's ready to start the next chapter of her life with a new man. She loved her late husband but she recognized that she needs to move forward.

For now, it's yet to be seen whom she will choose. Lucas and Nathan have shown their sincerity towards Elizabeth and it is up to her who she wants to be with. Once she made a decision, the series will likely open new storylines and challenges along the way.

Meanwhile, the clip didn't provide further details on what's coming next to other characters in When Calls the Heart season 8. Yet, it has already confirmed that there'll be new arrivals in Hope Valley. The Canfield family is, particularly, the latest addition in the town.

The patriarch of the family, Joseph Canfield (Viv Leacock), wants to buy the gas station in Hope Valley. His wife, Minnie (Natasha Burnett), is a protective mother. She'll do whatever she can to protect their two kids, Angela and Cooper -- played by Leacock's kids in real life Vienna Leacock and Elias Leacock.

Joseph's arrival has been teased in a previous sneak peek. In the footage, Elizabeth was giving Robert (Jaiven Natt) a horseback-riding lesson but the latter's horse runs out of control. They went past through Leacock's character, who seems surprised with what he saw. It would be interesting to see how the family will interact with the rest of the people once they move in.

When Calls the Heart season 8 premieres on Sunday, Feb. 21, on Hallmark Channel.
