Fans will soon witness the much-awaited fight between Moriarty and Sherlock Holmes in Moriarty the Patriot Cour 2. The anime's website drops a new visual for its second part, teasing a much intense confrontation between the two greatest minds in literary history.
However, with the coming of Moriarty the Patriot Cour 2, it only means that the series is about to come to an end, too. With that, there are a lot of questions surrounding its last few episodes, like if Holmes will be able to stop Moriarty and emerge as the greatest manipulator in the series.
The teaser image, via Epic Dope, shows the two lead characters facing each other back to back. Here, fans can see the greatest detective and criminal's intentions through their background.
Moriarty's backdrop shows the city of London in a blaze, hinting at the possible result of his plan to build a new world from "the ashes of the old." On the other hand, Holmes' surrounding seems to promise a much brighter tomorrow.

In addition, Crunchyroll noted the anime also revealed an official trailer for Moriarty the Patriot Cour 2. Aside from teasing Moriarty and Holmes' face-off, it also hinted at the coming of another major character from the canon. Fans are about to meet Irene Adler in the show's return.
Irene is one of the most notable characters of the franchise. Holmes is romantically interested in her, but it remains to be seen what the anime plans to feature about this new addition.
The anime has been flipping the narrative of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's iconic detective story. It claims James Moriarty is a band of three brothers, led by the genius William.
As Sebastian Moran is now part of the story, Moriarty the Patriot Cour 2 is believed to feature the brothers' fight with Holmes.
Meanwhile, manga creators Takeuchi Ryousuke and Miyoshi Hikaru also release a new full-colored page of the series. It is part of Jump SQ's latest issue to celebrate the coming of the final arc's climax. As it is about to end on its 14th volume this April, it will surely say goodbye with a bang.
However, compared to the anime, its image is the total opposite. If the show's photo displays the two characters' rivalry, the manga reveals how they shelter each other as Holmes himself comforts Moriarty.
It looks like from being arch-nemesis, they turn to be comforting each other in the manga, needing one another's support. This visual not only makes fans excited to see the manga's ending but also the anime.
Fortunately, Moriarty the Patriot Cour 2 will soon be out in April, though its official release date is yet to be announced, per Anime News Network. It will have 13 episodes, where fans can see more of Moriarty and Holmes.
