Meghan Markle might release her own book after her sister, Samantha Markle, who recently launched her memoir which had criticisms of the Duchess of Sussex.

According to a source, Meghan has had "numerous offers" from publishers and may soon be considering book deals as the next logical step to her goal as a financially independent member of the royal family.

It comes as Samantha wrote in her autobiography that Meghan was controlling over their father, Thomas Markle. Samantha also said that she was appalled Meghan and Prince Harry did not postpone their wedding despite Thomas' heart attack and absence from the royal wedding.

Representatives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not made any comments about Samantha's book. However, a source told Vanity Fair that Meghan is not worried about Samantha spilling the beans since she was never close to her.

Royal correspondent and Finding Freedom author Omid Scobie also told the same thing in an interview with Evening Standard. Scobie said that Samantha doesn't have valuable insights into Meghan's life because they do not have an actual relationship.

Samantha is 17 years older than Meghan. The last time they spent time as a family together was when the duchess was still a child.

Meanwhile, Meghan has been rumored to be writing her own book before. According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, a book deal is plausible if the Sussex pair is following the career trajectory of Barack and Michelle Obama.

Just like the Obamas, Harry and Meghan have secured Netflix and Spotify deals barely a year of their step back as working royals. They also share the same agency for their speaking opportunities. Nicholl also said that Meghan loves to read self-help books and she does have a knack for writing. So, publishing a memoir is right in her wheelhouse.

However, it's also possible Meghan might release fiction as her first book release. Daily Mail's Talk of the Town columnists said she might follow Prince Charles and Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, who are published fiction writers.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex filed for a trademark for potential fiction and non-fiction books they might release under Archewell. If not books, Meghan and Harry might release magazines and printed periodicals where they will write about the things they are passionate about.

Publishing a book has apparently been Meghan's dream as a child. She also used to run an informative lifestyle blog, The Tig, before she closed the site when she and Harry were engaged.
