Haikyuu Season 5 may have yet to receive a renewal, but fans strongly believe they will once again see the Karasuno High in action. After winning the fourth season's final game, another intense matchup is about to occur against Nekoma High.
There are no official words yet if Haikyuu Season 5 will come, but its return seems to be a sure one with its success. However, as the manga is now over, will the anime still return?
The anime fans on Quora seem to be 100% sure that the show will return. Although the manga has ended, the anime has yet to cover all of its volumes.
Aryaman noted there are a few manga chapters that are yet to be adapted into anime. There may be 100 anime episodes all in all after the manga concluded with 402 chapters in 2020.
The anime, on the other hand, has dropped 88 episodes, leaving a room for 12 episodes more for Haikyuu Season 5 to continue. If it pushes through, it will surely feature the fight for the nationals.
Manga readers may already know what will happen next in the fifth season. The previous season's second cour mostly focused on Karasuno and Inarizaki High's battle, The Spoiler Guy noted.
Now, the winning team, Karasuno, has to face another group. Devdiscourse assumed the new season might be different from its predecessors.
Anyhow, it may show how Hinata tries his best to join the Karasuno High School to learn more about volleyball and eventually qualifies for nationals. It may also reveal what will happen to him after witnessing Korai Hoshiumi's unbelievable jump.
Haikyuu Season 5 will surely continue the volleyball team's story, and each player's relationship helps them play in unity and reach the top. Of course, if there are friendships, there are also rivalries, and fans may see more of that.
Meanwhile, as the fifth season is yet to be officially announced, there are no words about its release date. However, HITC predicted when it might be out based on its previous seasons' production schedules.
The fourth season was announced at the 2019 Jump Festa and dropped in January 2020—about a year after the announcement. If Haikyuu Season 5 finally receives its renewal in the coming month and there may not be a three-year break, it may be out as soon as autumn 2021.
