Many K-Pop groups are dominating the worldwide music scene, topping the U.S. Billboard charts, and making history by entering international stardom. Aside from the groups per se, several K-Pop soloists are successfully making their way to the top and may even make a big name in the U.S. this 2021.

From J-Hope to Rose, several more K-Pop solo artists are trying to penetrate the U.S. market. With their incredible star power, not to mention K-Pop music's growth in the global market, Forbes revealed five K-pop soloists that may make it big in America this 2021 based on their successful solo acts and solo debuts.

J-Hope

It's no surprise that BTS's J-Hope is part of the list. According to Koreaboo, this 26-year-old Korean rapper has proven his solo artist power by making history himself.

He's one of the five South Korean soloists that made it on the Billboard 200, thanks to the success of his mixtape, Hope World. He also managed to be the first that became part of the Top 40.

That's not all. He also broke into Billboard's Hot 100 chart when he collaborated with Becky-G for the song "Chicken Noodle Soup."

Baekhyun

He's one of the most famous EXO and SuperM members, and with his group's success—being in line with BTS by topping the Billboard 200 chart—Baekhyun has a promising future as a soloist. Despite being busy, the singer-songwriter is continuously working on solo promotions.

His mini-album, City Lights and Delight, is also part of the Billboard charts. He again broke into the Top Album Sales chart in two consecutive years, 2019 and 2020.

Rose

Of course, the list will never be complete without Rose. Blackpink's fame in the U.S. can't be denied, and as K-Pop group's main vocalist, the 23-year-old star can effortlessly make a name in the said country.

She can launch a successful solo career in America after rising into international prominence. Her upcoming solo debut may receive a satisfactory response with her group's success, KPopStarz noted.

Wonho

Despite the allegations surrounding Wonho and the issues that come with his departure from Monsta X, he has managed to come out on top. His solo artist debut comes out as a success, and he's one of the K-Pop soloists that may make it big in the U.S. this year.

When he dropped his first-ever solo song, "Open Mind," Wonho received overwhelming support from fans. His mini-album, Love Synonym Pt. 1: Right for Me, even managed to be part of the Top Album Sales chart.

RM

Another BTS member that can break the U.S. music scene solo is RM. He has successfully achieved massive success after collaborating with different singers, and he may continuously do so this year as a solo K-Pop artist.

So, if he ever tries to make a name in the U.S., he may quickly establish himself as an international star.

Other K-Pop solo artists

Other K-Pop solo artists that may make it big in the U.S., per Ranker, are Suga, IU, Jackso Wang, Chunga Ha, and Sunmi. Also, Solar, Taeyeon, Taemin, and Hwa Sa may successfully make a big name internationally.
