Toei dropped the new teaser for the second part of Sailor Moon Eternal. Fans will get to see the major transformation of Hotaru Tomoe as Super Sailor Saturn, which no one has ever seen before.

Sailor Moon Eternal is about to hit the big screen, taking fans to another wave of nostalgia. Though the franchise has been around since the '90s, it still features a lot of new things that viewers need to see.

This will be the first time that fans will see Hotaru Tomoe's transformation. According to Epic Dope, this change was never even featured in the anime before.

Despite her sweet and innocent look, Sailor Saturn is a dark and complex character. Her presence makes the Sailor Soldiers feel uneasy, knowing she's the soldier of death and rebirth.

She holds an unprecedented power as the Guardian of Destruction. So, if there's one character that fans should look forward to seeing in Sailor Moon Eternal, it's the introduction of Sailor Saturn.

Although Sailor Moon Crystal featured the transformation sequence, it wasn't a satisfying scene for fans. In addition, the video teaser also shows several transformation sequences of the Outer Senshi.

The original manga creator Naoko Takeuchi gets the credit for his original work and supervising the movie. Chiaka Kon returns to helm the two-part movie after directing Sailor Moon Crystal Season 3, Anime News Network noted.

Kazuko Tadano also makes a comeback as the character designer, while Kazuyuki Fudeyasu writes the script. Toei distributes Sailor Moon Eternal, and the studio collaborates with Studio Dee to co-produce the movie.

The first part of the film was out on January 8, 2021, and made it to ninth place on its opening weekend. It was supposed to be out in September 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic happened.

Though its first-weekend gross is yet to be out, it managed to be ranked sixth in Filmarks' first-day satisfaction ranking, per Crunchyroll. It received 3.46 rating approval with 242 reviews. It was released in 127 theaters in Japan, though it was just less than half of that of a notable film.

On the other hand, its second movie will drop on Thursday, February 11, in Japan, though there is no update on when it will be released in other countries. The film adapts the manga's Dead Moon arc, and it's the franchise's new offering in celebration of its 25th anniversary.
