Haruichi Furudate hears fans cry and unveils an extension of the Haikyuu!! Chapter 401, "Promises?" Titled "Promises 2," this short sequel will take the readers back when Kageyama invited Kunimi and Kindaichi to play volleyball.

The manga has now come to an end, though its anime adaptation continues. As fans miss the fun of reading and the excitement it gives every page turn, they will be treated with Haikyuu!! Chapter 401 "Promises 2."

Kageyama and Hinata return, along with two surprise characters, in the short sequel. According to Epic Dope, the extended chapter is a full-color six-page manga that will only be available for a limited time on Jump+, starting on Friday, February 12.

Here, Kageyama told Kunimi and Kindaichi about the promise of playing volleyball together. In the original Chapter 401 that dropped in November 2018, Kageyama invited the two to play while signing photographs.

This is where Haikyuu!! Chapter 401, "Promises 2" begins, showing a confused Kunimi and Kindaichi. Despite their looks, it seems like they accept the offer.

In Chapter 401, Kunimi, Kindaichi, Kageyama, and Hinata met to play beach volleyball. Knowing Hinata had beach volleyball training in Brazil, he had the upper hand in this game.

The sand couldn't even disturb Kageyama's game, while Kunimi already figured out how to take advantage of the wind. After the match, Kageyama asked Kunimi to try beach volleyball but returned the question to him, asking if he wanted him to die.

The Geekiary added this chapter felt like a love letter to the fans as it was to the characters. Indeed, it lived true to its title.

Chapter 401 marked the match of the century's end, though the characters would surely live in the audience's hearts forever. As Tsukishima told everyone that it was the first game, the only chance fans could see them once again play is through the anime.

So, all eyes are now on for the release of Haikyuu!! Season 5. However, Devdiscourse noted it might experience a delay after its official website and the Twitter page said so.

The many assumptions surrounding the upcoming seasons claimed it might be different from Season 4 and its predecessors. However, earlier reports revealed it might feature how Hinata would go to Karasuno High School to learn more about volleyball, hone his skills, and qualify for the nationals.

As the anime and manga both revolve around the high school volleyball team's story and the group's relationship to its co-players, this storyline will undoubtedly continue. Fans may see more friendships and rivalries develop when Haikyuu!! Season 5 drops and in the recent release of Haikyuu!! Chapter 401 "Promises 2."
