In Seven Deadly Sins Season 5 Episode 6, Mael got encased in a "bright cocoon of light" after taking in the Commandment of Purity. Dark rays of light then started to pour down from the cocoon.
Tarmiel then begged his brother to stop, but he found himself being hit by the dark ray. When Mael emerged, Hawk received the biggest surprise of his life when he saw his power level rose above 200,000.
With the use of Commandment of Love, Mael cast Jiai no Kougyoko, invalidating his opponents' abilities. However, Gowther countered his spell and cast Sense Opener that freed King, Elizabeth, and Diana, The Cinemaholic noted.
The three Sins believed their joint forces could go against Mael, and so King cast the sixth form of Chastiefold, Yggrda Cloth, to cover himself that would give him a fighting chance against the archangel.
Gowther then used the Kaleidoscope to produce several King clones to confuse Mael, while Diane used Drole's Dance to improve their fighter's powers. Mael tried to use his Jiai no Kougyoko again, but Oslo intervened and sacrificed himself to protect King.
Diane then used her War Hammer Gideon to defy Mael's spells. However, as she warned everyone with her move, Heaven's Theater shattered.
Elizabeth saved Diane from falling while Hawk caught Gowther, who turned out to be unconscious. King, on the other hand, tended to nullify Mael's curses and transformed into a full-blown fairy, complete with wings.
