The making of One Punch Man Season 3 remains a mystery almost two years after the second season ended. Though fans can be sure of its coming, there is still a lack of major details about it.

For an anime that has become a cult classic in an instant, viewers are now looking forward to One Punch Man Season 3's release. So, from the little details to the big ones, here is everything you need to know.

As the anime is based on Yusuke Murata's manga, according to BlockToro, it is the main reason why the new season is delayed. Season 2 adapted up to Chapter 83 of the manga.

Now, it is on its 140th chapter. Though there are enough materials to do the third season, it remains to be seen if it will increase its episode count to feature the Monster Association arc properly.

This arc is still ongoing, and it is still not clear how it will play out in One Punch Man Season 3. However, if the new season will come to fruition, it may mostly focus on Garou and his battle against Saitama and the gang.

Compared to other enemies that Saitama faces, Garou is a formidable one. The Caped Baldy can't easily defeat Garou as the latter is about to have new powers.

Devdiscourse added there might be a number of heroes coming in the new season. They may be attacking the Monster hideout that will result in a huge intense fight.

Fans will also learn more about the Monster Association and its members in One Punch Man Season 3. Compared to the first two seasons, the new one will be action-packed as there will be more fighting scenes, including Garou and Saitama's battle.

Meanwhile, it looks like there will be a long waiting game for the release of the new season. It took good four years before the second season dropped after the first season ended in 2015.

Anyhow, with the change of studio, from Madhouse to J.C. Staff, fans quite complained of the animation quality, per TV Season Spoilers. If fans would try to demand another change and direction team again, it might take a long while before a new season would come out.

If this happens, One Punch Man Season 3 may be out in 2023. However, if J.C. Staff remains the third season's studio, it may arrive in mid-2022. With this schedule, it may drop a trailer later this year.
