WARNING: This article contains spoilers for the third season of Killing Eve. Read at your own risk.

Killing Eve season 4 has been already renewed back in January 2020. However, the series is still off-air until now as it encountered filming setbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The official release date of the upcoming installment remains uncertain because of the delay.

In a recent report from TVLine, AMC Network chief Josh Sapan noted that the arrival of Killing Eve season 4 depends on the schedule of the production. He added that they will have a "clearer view" of what's going to happen in the next quarter.

This is seemingly a hint that the fourth installment is still in its early stages of preparations. It has been previously noted that filming has been delayed until June 2021 due to the global health crisis. While it could premiere in the fall, there are certain things that must take into consideration.

Some of the cast and crew were required to travel in order to film the next chapter, which could be challenging for them. The safety of everyone always comes first, as well as a safe working environment. If the series won't arrive this year, it is possible that it could hit the small screen in early 2022.

As for the story of Killing Eve season 4, Eve Poloastri (Sandra Oh) and Villanelle (Jodie Comer) won't be able to escape each other anymore. Their relationship will further play out in the next chapter. This is something that's already part of the series since the beginning.

In the season 3 finale, Eve and Villanelle tried to stay away from each other. But then, the Twelve -- an organization that employs assassins like the latter -- is still out there. Thus, the two need to reunite to take this organization down in Killing Eve season 4.

They recognized that they must work together again even if being in the same team means chaos for them. The two will be back in each other's orbit to bring down the same enemy. Villanelle admitted that she wants to live a life without killing for the Twelve, while Eve recalled what her life was when she was with Villanelle.

Their realizations may completely change how they view things in Killing Eve season 4. Apart from their storyline, other characters are in danger, as well. The Twelve will continue to be the biggest adversary, leaving everyone's life in jeopardy.
