NCT has become one of today's most popular K-Pop groups. There are five subunits under the band but, NCT 127 seemingly appears to be the most famous unit among all.
The members of the unit play a significant role in the success of the group. Apart from Taeyong and Mark's increasing fame, their tight friendships and links with one another have, also, become a factor.
However, not all members of the unit are as close as Taeyong and Doyoung. It appears that the two K-Pop idols share a very close friendship with each other since they first met over a decade ago.
Koreaboo reported that the two NCT members recently had a virtual engagement with their fans. To the surprise of many, Taeyong and Doyoung talked about their friendship, including even the former's close ties with EXO's Baekhyun.
As explained, it all started when Doyoung shared his thoughts about Taeyong, noting that the latter always accuses him of being "jealous" over his friendship with the EXO member. While he continued to deny the accusations, the two laughed it all out and, later on, discussed why Doyoung feels this way.
Doyoung revealed that he gets jealous because Taeyong would always hang out with "someone as cool as Baekhyun." The NCT 127 leader, then, told his best friend to hang with the EXO member, as well, in the future.
Amid the jokes, Doyoung candidly asked for Baekhyun's number, and eventually stated that "you lose precious things as being tricked by familiarity." The remarks and quips sent the two K-Pop idols to burst into laughter.
In the end, though, Taeyong "reassured" Doyoung that Baekhyun knows all about his personality as he talks about it with him. This, then, led Doyoung to ask several other things about his best friend's friendship with the EXO member.
It is not surprising that the two NCT 127 members discuss such things due to their genuine closeness. In fact, Doyoung and Taeyong even share a hefty friendship ring, which the latter requested from his best friend.
Koreaboo released a report on the matter, detailing how and when it all happened. Earlier in October, the group leader shared with his audience that Doyoung bought a pair of friendship rings for the two of them.
He said that he requested it before but, Doyoung seemingly pretended to not care about the idea. Although it took Doyoung quite some time, he surprised Taeyong with the rings last year.
The publication said that the two K-Pop idols do not seemingly wear them regularly as they are expensive. As revealed, Doyoung purchased the rings from Cartier at a staggering price of $3000 each. They, however, wear it on special occasions, including photoshoots and special appearances before an audience.
