The Penthouse season 2 scripts have been completed and the South Korean series is set to end filming this March. Writer Kim Soon Ok finished all the scripts of the second installment and it will deliver more twists and turns before it officially wraps up.
On Tuesday, March 9, SpoTVNews reported that Kim Soon Ok completed writing all the episodes of The Penthouse season 2 and the cast also received the script. Since the work is done for the second part, the writer has already begun writing the third installment, as well.
The cast members and staff aren't sharing too much information on what's coming next, but The Penthouse season 2 is said to have "many plot twists" until the final episode. The series will continue filming until the end of March before going on a two-week break.
After that, everyone is coming back to start the production of the third season. The aforementioned outlet also noted that the next installment will be airing one episode per week, instead. However, SBS hasn't confirmed its plan as of yet for the broadcast schedule of season 3.
Meanwhile, the ratings of The Penthouse season 2 continue to soar high. Episode 6, reportedly, garnered average nationwide ratings of 22.4 percent and 26.9 percent for the two parts. It also ranks first in its time slot across all networks and sets a new personal record.
When it comes to the story, the new stills of the next episode featured Joo Dan Tae (Uhm Ki Joon) and Cheon Seo Jin (Kim So Yeon), who are both preparing for their upcoming wedding. While the former looks happy, the latter doesn't pay attention to him.
Cheon Seo Jin, who is wearing her wedding dress, looks angry and ready to explode. One of the biggest questions right now is why she suddenly changed and became cold, given that they were affectionate until the signing ceremony for the merger.
Both Kim So Yeon and Uhm Ki Joon were praised for their acting and delivering different emotions for their characters. In the next episodes, Joo Dan Tae and Cheon Seo Jin will show the emotional changes between them, as well as the new changes in their relationship.
According to the production team, Cheon Seo Jin and Joo Dan Tae's relationship "will drastically fluctuate" because of the tragedy that happened in Hera Palace. There's going to be a lot of changes amidst the major turmoil around them.
The Penthouse season 2 is airing every Friday and Saturday on SBS.
