Fans are now looking forward to Pacific Rim: The Black Season 2's coming after the major cliffhangers the first season left. Will Hayley and Taylor manage to solve all the conflicts?

Pacific Rim: The Black Season 2 may explore the two protagonists' journey to Sydney. It may also reveal what happened to their parents, Brina and Ford Travis.

There are a lot of questions that the first season left, from Mei's ability to communicate with the Kaijus to his being an alleged kaiju messiah. Will these be all answered in the second season?

According to TV Season Spoilers, Netflix has planned to feature two seasons of the anime series. Hence, Season 2 is now confirmed, and it will be handled by the creators themselves, Greg Johnson and Craig Kyle.

Legendary Entertainment's Elie Dekel assured Pacific Rim: The Black Season 2's coming via IGN. He described the series as the "biggest budget anime series" they had ever worked on.

As the first season was about character developments, the second season would be about solving the issues. It will tell more about the mysterious Boy and his real identity.

CBR noted Taylor and Hayley believed the Precursors, the kaiju alien overlords, planted the kid on Earth as a Trojan horse. Though he had befriended them, his real initiative might be to destroy humanity.

Hence, Hayley and Taylor may find a way to save Boy, keep him, and change his destiny in Pacific Rim: The Black Season 2. The next installment will also explore his being an alleged kaiju messiah, which the hooded women confirmed.

Of course, the continuation will feature the future of Hayley and Taylor's parents. It may also give fans a glimpse of Mei's past and reveal the reason behind AI's technical meltdown while collecting the Horizon Bravo data.

Meanwhile, there might be a Pacific Rim 3 hitting the big screen soon after Guillermo del Toro teased a possible crossover between the Pacific Rim, which he started in 2013, and MonsterVerse, which featured Godzilla and King Kong, in a tweet, per Bustle.

However, he later shot down the idea in the next tweet by saying he was only thinking about it as a fan, and he had no plans to return to do the movie.

By the looks of it, Pacific Rim: The Black Season 2 is the only confirmed project fans are about to see, though it may take a little time before it finally hits the small screen due to the animated series' production demand. Anyhow, it is expected to be out in March 2022 or at a later date.
