Love Alarm season 3 hasn't been renewed on Netflix since the second installment just recently dropped on the streaming platform. But, fans have been wondering whether or not the series will bring more stories for Kim Jo Jo (Kim So Hyun), Lee Hye Young (Jung Ga Ram), and Hwang Sun Oh (Song Kang).
At the moment, Netflix hasn't confirmed that Love Alarm season 3 is happening. The second installment landed on the streaming platform on Friday, March 12. Thus, fans have to wait for a while as renewal announcements were often made a few weeks to months following the season finale.
In the event Love Alarm season 3 will be renewed, the official premiere date could be set at a later date. It can be noted that the release schedule of the previous installment was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is a 19-month gap between season 1 and season 2.
Moreover, Song Kang's growing popularity could delay the production dates since he is in high-demand at the moment. He is set to play the lead role in tvN's Navillera and JTBC's I Already Know. The actor's busy schedule could potentially impact the filming.
Meanwhile, Love Alarm season 3 could further explore Kim Jo Jo and Lee Hye Young's relationship now that they're an official couple. Hwang Sun Oh, on the other hand, still has a feeling for Kim Jo Jo but he decided to enter a new relationship with Lee Yuk Jo (Kim Si Eun).
Even though they're already in relationships, there are still questions surrounding the new respective couples. For instance, Kim Jo Jo ponders on whether or not she would've rung Lee Hye Young's alarm without using the shield.
The couple loves each other, but Kim Jo Jo seems insecure about the shield and it could lead to tension later on. As for Hwang Sun Oh and Lee Yuk Jo, their growing relationship will be fleshed out more, and conflicts could arise between them at some point.
The series is based on a webtoon of the same name by Chon Kye-Young. The story revolves around the technology where it allows users to discover who likes them 10-meter radius using an application. The first season follows the characters as high school students, while the second outing was set four years after.
