Love Alarm season 2 held an online press conference on Monday, March 8, featuring lead stars Song Kang and Kim So Hyun, and director Kim Jin Woo. Jung Ga Ram wasn't present at the event as the actor is currently completing his mandatory military service.

In the interview, Song Kang said they were able to do Love Alarm season 2 due to the success of the first season. The actor also explained how the story will be different this time. He said that it will now follow them as adults -- as opposed to their high school characters in season 1.

Song Kang also talked about how popular the series. He said that he realized a lot of viewers were watching it after receiving comments in different languages about the second installment. Then, he promised that he will "work harder from now on."

When it comes to his character, the actor said Hwang Sun Oh was hurt from a sudden farewell in the first season. In Love Alarm season 2, he becomes more mature and gains more inner strengths. He added that viewers should look forward to how the characters will resolve the conflict in season 1.

Meanwhile, Kim So Hyun shared how she was able to portray Kim Jo Jo well. She said that she thought about "how to express wavering feelings." However, the actress said the director wants her character to go in a specific direction so she went with that.

She added that Kim Jo Jo's choices made both Hwang Sun Oh and Jung Ga Ram's Lee Hye Young suffer. She further said that she wouldn't download the application even if it exists in the real world. The actress noted that she wanted to express her feelings directly.

Kim So Hyun also said she is now comfortable with the cast and crew, and not even nerve-racking to be at the press conference. They all became closer while working together and like to joke around. She added that they "felt a sense of comradeship during the shoot."

Director Kim Jin Woo, on the other hand, directs Love Alarm season 2. Since he hadn't directed the first installment, he joked that he felt uncomfortable during filming. He said that everyone works well together and he felt pressured he wouldn't capture that as a director.

He further explained that the cast already established great characters during the first season, so he has to follow what choices they would make in the next one. He said that this is something that "sets the second season apart."

Love Alarm season 2 will arrive on Friday, March 12, on Netflix.
