There are a lot of theories surrounding Oden's return to 20 years after his demise. Now, fans cast their different assumptions on the Daimyo of Kuri's arrival as One Piece Chapter 1008 goes on a break.
Fans expect One Piece Chapter 1008 to explain the mystery of Oden's sudden return. No one expects to see him coming, but the creator Eiichiro Oda surely has a good explanation for it.
According to BlockToro, Oden's comeback may have something to do with Lady Toki's time-traveling ability. She managed to send the Scabbards and Momonosuke 20 years into the future, so she could do the same to Oden.
This may have happened before Oden's execution, though there may be a limit on this power. The Scabbards leader may only have a few minutes to stay in Wano and need to immediately come back to his time.
Oden has predicted there will be a Great War in Wano in 20 years and reveals a pirate will arrive to "set everyone free." Is he the pirate that will stop the epic series of fights in One Piece Chapter 1008?
Elsewhere, there are predictions that someone is only pretending to be Oden and the son of the former Shogun that fans see is not the real him. Recent Highlights noted it could be Gyukimaru as the fox on the bridge had the ability to transform.
Oden may also only be a drawing from Kanjuro. The Evening Shower is still alive and may want something to do for the Scabbards, which may be why he draws Oden that shows his return.
In addition, O-Tama may have eaten the Tanuki fruit, which has the power to transform. So, she may have transformed into Oden to join the war in Wano and help the Scabbards in One Piece Chapter 1008.
Lastly, the Oden fans see maybe Catarina Devon, who also has the ability to transform, thanks to her devil fruit powers. The Blackbeard may have sent her to the battlefield to see everything that's happening in Wano.
This may only mean that the Blackbeard Pirates are already in Wano, and so Blackbeard himself may know the right time to attack, per International Business Times. He may try to defeat the "injured victor and take the spoils."
If it's indeed Catarina, it's also possible that Marshall D. Teach and his crew are seeing the Wano war without anyone knowing. Anyhow, fans should only take these assumptions with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed yet.
The upcoming One Piece Chapter 1008 may finally reveal the mystery about Oden's return when it finally drops on Sunday, March 28. The raw scans and spoilers, on the other hand, maybe out on Wednesday, March 24, or Friday, March 26.
