Gong Yoo is on the cover of the latest issue of Esquire Korea, where he also took part in an interview. The South Korean actor discussed all of his projects in the upcoming months, particularly his latest film Seobok, which also stars Park Bo Gum.

Originally, Seobok was set to premiere in December 2020. However, the release date was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Talking about the delayed schedule of the movie, Gong Yoo said that he couldn't blame anyone since everyone deals with the same situation.

The new premiere date of Seobok is on April 15, 2021, and it will be released simultaneously in theaters and through streaming media TVING. But, ahead of its official schedule, the cast members already did an interview in the past that goes in-depth about the movie.

Gong Yoo explained that was their official interview since Park Bo Gum, who stars as the titular character, had to enlist. He said that they had to complete everything ahead of time, including filming and interviews, so that his co-star can participate.

Seobok is a film that tackles the life and death of humans. The actor plays the role of the former intelligence agent Gi Heon, who eventually got involved with Park Bo Gum's character, the first human clone. The two go on a dangerous journey when several forces want to take over the latter.

In terms of working with Park Bo Gum, the actor said he always thinks of himself as his co-star's age because of their age gap. Although this is the first time they meet and collaborate, the two seemed to get along very well and created a "special kind of bond."

As for his other projects, the actor said the project he's been working on right now would wrap up soon. He further noted that he's done filming for his special appearance for Wonderland, also starring Park Bo Gum and Bae Suzy. The actor added that the projects he completed were being released slowly.

In addition to acting, Gong Yoo enjoys fishing, as well. When asked what's the one fish he's unable to catch, the actor answered he wanted to "catch a fish that he hasn't haven't caught before -- a big one." He also said that he wants a boat, though he couldn't get one at the moment.

Gong Yoo explained that the problem is not about the money but more of the mental process. He needs to consider a lot of things first, including whether or not he'll drive the boat and get his boating license. He noted that these are the "complex thoughts" he must reach before buying a boat.
