Grey's Anatomy season 17 episode 10 is set to arrive this week on ABC, with the title "Breathe." There is another character who's important to Meredith Grey's (Ellen Pompeo) life, coming back in the medical drama. It has been confirmed that Chyler Leigh is returning as Lexie Grey.
Lexie's death was one of the most devastating events in the series. The good news is that the series is bringing her back in the upcoming Grey's Anatomy season 17 episode 10. The character is set to make an appearance in the dream beach sequence of her half-sister, Meredith.

The promo starts with Meredith still lying on her hospital bed though her vital signs were stable. The scene shifted to the dream beach sequence with her looking at the sea, and a woman suddenly handed her a white towel. Then, the video comes with a logline: "The surprise beach guest."
As seen in the clip, Meredith is shocked and happy after seeing Lexie on the beach. The former told her sister that she likes where she is right now, referring to her dream. The promo ended with the latter asking: "Are you gonna stay?"
Clearly, there'll be a lot of conversations and emotional moments coming in Grey's Anatomy season 17 episode 10. Meredith and Lexie's reunion could also have a huge impact on the story, especially since Pompeo's character is still unconscious.
At the moment, it is uncertain how long viewers will see Meredith on the beach. Although she's seemingly getting better, there is no indication that she'll wake up anytime soon. If her dream beach sequence continues, there is a possibility that other characters will return.
In fact, series star Camilla Luddington, who plays Jo Wilson, hinted at the appearance of previous cast members. During an interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the actress teased that viewers should be prepared since "many crazy unexpected people are coming back."
