Netflix announced that The Way of the Househusband 2 will happen. On Friday, the streaming giant publicized the greenlight on social media, specifically for Japan.
Comic Book said that the platform has yet to release any detail about the new and upcoming season. Accordingly, it remains unclear when it will arrive and what it will contain.
The official announcement came a day after the pilot installment dropped on the streaming service. The social media post comes with a photo featuring the faces of the anime series.
While many are in celebration after receiving the good news, others have questions as to whether the second season will still come from the same studio. As noted, the five-episode installment has met criticisms from the public, especially manga fans, because of the animation.
An earlier report from the same publication stated that the debut obtained negative reviews. On various online forum platforms, like Reddit, many anime and manga lovers expressed their disappointment toward the new Netflix series because of the "lazy" animation.
Some individuals pointed fingers at the studio, J.C. Staff for coming up with a "Powerpoint-like" visual. But, several other netizens argued that the director has the last say in the overall output.
Despite the continued backlash on the internet, Netflix confirmed that The Way of the Househusband 2 will still happen. This, then, explains why netizens are wondering whether J.C. Staff will still spearhead the animation of the new season.
Amid all the questions, though, the public has yet to learn the specific details of The Way of the Househusband 2. Even so, it is likely that more information will drop in the next few weeks or months.
The pilot season is available for streaming on Netflix. It premiered on April 8 with a total of five episodes.
Each installment lasts for 15 to 17 minutes. Although they are short, every episode features three to five skits, which come from different chapters of the original manga.
There are speculations that the second season may adapt the missed chapters from the manga. But, there is a possibility that new content may be included in The Way of the Househusband 2.
