The Blacklist season 8 will be introducing a character who has a connection to Anne (LeChanze). The two are, particularly, close but it remains to be seen whether or not she's an ally. The character is set to appear in the 13th episode, which comes with the title "Anne."

A recent report from TV Insider revealed that Law & Order: Criminal Intent star Kathryn Erbe is set to guest-star as Lois in The Blacklist season 8. The character is a cop who does well in trusting her instincts and she probably has suspicions about Reddington (James Spader).

As it turns out, she is right to suspect that the new man in her friend's life is up to something nefarious -- yet she isn't aware of how dangerous this man could be. It looks like Anne's friendship with Reddington might become complicated with Lois's arrival.

The synopsis of this week's episode notes that Reddington enjoys his quiet visit with Anne at her home in rural America. There, he's going to meet Lois who will make the trip "not enjoyable" for him. There'll be a lot of chaos and complications as the two may oppose each other.

Lois "acts with grace under pressure" and she's forced to make the most difficult decision in her life. The Blacklist season 8 also releases preview photos of the upcoming episode featuring Erbe's Lois. With her presence, some untold stories about Anne may unfold, as well.

Meanwhile, Neville Townsend (Reg Rogers) is appearing in the upcoming episode, as well. He and his people are doing everything to track down Reddington's whereabouts. If they find out that he's with Anne, Neville could inflict damage on her to get back on what Spader's character did to him.

After this one, the next episode of The Blacklist season 8 may finally see the return of Megan Boone's Liz. She has been absent for several episodes and it remains uncertain where she is at the moment. But then, it is clear that she's hiding somewhere and planning to attack Reddington later on.

Now, some preview photos for episode 14, titled Misere," have been unveiled featuring Liz and it suggests that she is returning. No further details have been revealed why she came back, though the series might be setting up a huge showdown between her and Reddington.

The episode may provide more information regarding Liz's hideout in the past few episodes. Her plan in killing Reddington remains and she wants to bring down his empire once and for all. For now, it remains to be seen whether former partners get on the same page once again.

The Blacklist season 8 new episodes drop every Friday night on NBC.
