Disney's latest live-action film, Cruella is set to hit the big screens next month. Many believe that it will become one of the franchise's "bigger blockbuster" materials, considering the hype and anticipation toward the movie.

But, what excites the public more is the film's upcoming manga adaptation. VIZ Media confirmed the move earlier this week upon releasing the official cover teaser of the material.

Comic Book said that the manga will arrive this summer, after the premiere of the live-action film. As for the actual content, it will, reportedly, cover the entire course of the live-action film. But, whether it will explore more of the storylines outside the upcoming movie, no confirmation has been shared yet.

The announcement from VIZ Media, also, acknowledged the pre-orders for the manga adaptation of Cruella. Interested customers may place their order on Amazon, wherein the official release date is indicated. It will arrive on August 3, as per the platform.

It houses a total of 168 pages, all in English. The paperback, which carries the official title Cruella: The Manga: Black, White and Red, costs $14.99.

Following the post on Twitter, many netizens immediately shared their excitement and shock about Disney's move to manga. While some are more focused on getting their hands on the paperback, others are wondering whether the universe will release more manga adaptations in the future.

Several individuals believe that Cruella is just the beginning of Disney's new venture. Some Twitter users even pointed out that the franchise's potential manga materials have been licensed by Tokyopop.

But, while the speculations continue to develop, avid fans and followers are just looking forward to the live-action and manga adaptation of Cruella.

So far, these are the only details that have been released by VIZ Media. Additional information about the manga adaptation of Cruella will likely emerge after the live-action film hits the big screens and Disney+ next month.

The Emma Stone-led movie from Disney was initially announced earlier in 2013. It took three years before the franchise revealed the cast members, especially the actress who would play the titular role, according to Tom'S Guide.

The public had not heard anything more since then until the teasers and trailers started to drop earlier this year. It was, reportedly, scheduled to premiere back in 2020 if not for the pandemic.

On the day of its theatrical release in the United States and the United Kingdom, Cruella will, also, drop on Disney+ Premier Access. It is a separate purchase option on the platform, amounting to $30, on top of the regular subscription fee.
