Paju City has finished its investigation into BLACKPINK Jennie's alleged breaking of quarantine rules in the area. The city concluded the singer didn't break any COVID-19 guidelines, contradicting the allegations against her.

BLACKPINK Jennie has finally cleared her name after the controversy that she got into. News broke that the singer-songwriter didn't follow Paju City's quarantine rules after posting a photo on Instagram with a group of people.

According to AllKpop, a Paju City Hall official confirmed the agency had submitted an application and received consent for filming from the arboretum. The said gathering was also proved to be not a private meeting or a personal conference.

The officials had also looked into the matter if the individuals were wearing their masks, though they didn't confirm if they took it off after entering the conservatory. So, judging by the turn of events, they concluded that the rapper "is no subject to a fine."

Previously, a netizen filed a complaint against BLACKPINK Jennie for breaking quarantine rules in Paju after seeing her post with more than five people in a picture. The city's official team responsible for its health and quarantine administration revealed they would review the case and investigate if the 25-year-old performer needed to be fined.

The post in question showed the hitmaker in a greenhouse in Gyeonggi Province, along with several people holding their ice creams. There were about seven ice creams in total, resulting in speculations that she violated the social distancing guidelines by gathering more than five people.

Malay Mail added BLACKPINK Jennie deleted the controversial snap after the uproar and posted another one with just her hands holding an ice cream. The other people in the picture were all gone.

This led to a much bigger controversy. The arboretum, on the other hand, cleared in a blog post that the artist was indeed there, but it was for an official business.

It said she visited the place for work, and she must have taken the images after finishing their job. It also insisted that Jennie was not there for recreational purposes.

Arboretum's statement featured a photo of Jennie with her staff, who worked with her at the time. As the controversy was getting bigger, YG Entertainment broke its silence. A representative released an official announcement that BLACKPINK Jennie was at the said area to film for video content, per Pink Villa.
