WARNING: This article contains spoilers for the thirds installment of Cobra Kai. Read at your own risk.

Cobra Kai season 4 has officially kicked off filming after encountering several delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The latest installment has been renewed on Netflix even before the third season arrived on the streaming platform in January 2021.

Cobra Kai season 4 began production in February 2021 -- just a few weeks after season 3 dropped on Netflix. Since filming has already started, fans have been getting a few updates on what's coming next on the latest installment of the martial arts comedy-drama.

The premiere episode is titled "Let's Begin" and it will be written by John Hurwitz, Josh Heald, and Hayden Schlossberg. This news was confirmed last February, in which the official Twitter account of the series announced that filming for the fourth outing is underway.

Also, Hurwitz shared back in March that they have already shot several scenes, and it can make viewers laugh and cry. In addition, a lot of behind-the-scenes moments have been shared on the internet as soon as production has started.

Meanwhile, it is expected that the majority of the main cast members are coming back in Cobra Kai season 4. That means Ralph Macchio will reprise his role as Daniel LaRusso, William Zabka as Johnny Lawrence, Courtney Henggeler as Amanda LaRusso, and Tanner Buchanan as Robbie Keene.

Moreover, some of the cast from the old movies might be making an appearance in the next chapter, including Hillary Swank's Julie Pierce and Elisabeth Shue's Ali. It was also confirmed that Vanessa Rubio and Peyton List have been promoted as series regulars.

Cobra Kai season 4 will pick up the events that happened in the season 3 finale. LaRusso's Miyagi-do and Lawrence's Eagle Fang dojo are teaming up against Kreese's Cobra Kai. However, the latter's students invaded the LaRusso house, which could cause huge trouble for everyone.

In one of the final moments of the third installment, Kreese also reached out to his old war-vet buddy for backup. He called Thomas Ian Griffith's Terry Silver, introduced in the movie The Karate Kid Part III and a notable character since he founded Cobra Kai.

As for what else is coming, the "neckbeard teacher" Stingray might be coming back, as well. It can be recalled that, at the start of season 3, he was revealed to be on probation hinting the character is returning at some point in the story.

Cobra Kai season 4 is slated to premiere in either late 2021 or early 2022.
